2 important notes - entry fee ($37) and appropriate dress
Unlike many countries where everyone has to pay to enter historical parks etc – in Cambodia any local person is encouraged to enter Angkor Wat free of charge – often they have birthday parties or picnics it’s really nice. Visitors on the other hand have to pay entry just like anywhere else. The cost for a single day entry is $37 (obviously not included in our price of $40). Our guides will assist you getting your entry ticket – it’s all very easy, but don’t forget to bring enough for the entry cost.
You’ll be going into a temple. It’s no different from many temples all over the world – one has to dress according to a “respectful” attitude. You will need to wear a shirt that covers your shoulders, and trousers or knee-length pants or skirts are permitted. Don’t have to wear them all day – just bring something when going into the temples.
